{LIFESTYLE} Read 2 Books a Month Challenge

Good Afternoon and happy Friday! I can’t believe we’re eight days into 2016 already! The older I am the faster time seems to pass. As a child I had a passion for reading. Then, unfortunately or fortunately, life took over and reading had to placed on the back burner. To hold myself accountable, below is my reading list for 2016.

As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner

Bad Feminist by Roxanne Gay

Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl by Harriet Jacobs

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey

The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

A Spool of Blue Thread by Anne Tyler

furiously happy

Letters from Father Christmas by Baillie Tolkien and J. R. R. Tolkien

Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson

The first book selected is from the Paper and Glam Book Club of 2016. The second book is selected at random. I thought a mix of new and classics would be a good way to return to the fun of reading. Often times, we let our passions slowly die as we take on newer things. Reading again isn’t a New Year’s Resolution; it’s a goal. Need suggestions for your 2016 reading list? Check Paper & Glam’s Books to Read here.

I will try to review each book after reading (fingers crossed…no promises!). Will you join me this year? I’d love to know what’s on  your reading list for 2016?
