Have you heard of One Thimble E-Zine? You’re not alone if you’re not familiar! I had heard of One Thimble; however, I was not sure what was involved. Now I know! Let me introduce to you to One Thimble!
One Thimble is an e-zine (digital) magazine with sewing patterns, tips, tutorials, articles, and exclusive discounts. Issue 8 of One Thimble was released on August 13.
I have the honor of previewing one of the newest releases as part of Pattern Revolution’s One Thimble Blog Tour.
This is my first time sewing a pattern from a Momma Quail Pattern. The Jackalope is easy to put together. The pattern gives you the option of adding a woven or knit stripe from the arm to bottom of the shirt.
You’ll need less than 1 yard of fabric to make the Jackalope. The coolest part about the Jackalope Tee is that you can use up all those scraps hanging around. My little totally digs his new shirt!!
Designer: a Momma Quail Pattern
Fabric Used: Purpleseamstress Fabric and Bebe Flow Fabric
Pattern Sizing: 2-14
Options: Short and long sleeves
Size & Options Sewn: 4; long sleeves with woven stripe
Did it look like the cover photo? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? The directions are easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that you can use scrap pieces of fabric for the stripe accent. I think the pattern runs a little snug; however, it works great for us.
Fabric Used: Knit and woven
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: On the next Jackalope Tee, I will go up one size for comfort and growing room.
