{Review} SisBoom Bonnie & Shellie

Hold on to your hats! SisBoom has another awesome collection coming. You’re going to love Bonnie and Shellie. They are both apart of a collaboration with Sew News Magazine releasing June 22, 2015.

Bonnie is the perfect circle skirt with a yoke and zipper! Yep that’s right…NO yoga waistband. You know you want a real skirt! I absolutely love how the circle skirt hides all the bumps and dimples the world doesn’t need to see while not adding bulk to my pear shaped figure! The zipper was very easy to install. I opted for a regular zipper. The pattern and instructions are written for an invisible zipper. I like the regular zipper because it gives a little more flare and pop of color than a hidden zipper. Just a personal preference. Both ways work very well. Tip: you could use a lace edge zipper to jazz up your Bonnie too!

Don’t you just love how cute Bonnie is in this Hancock Fabrics floral print!

Now Shellie is the showstopper! Great accessory to jazz up any outfit. She’s perfect for running errands and for date night! She is a super quick sew and excellent way to stash bust. Shellie does not use mammoth amounts of fabric! My Shellie is cut from remnants from a skirt. The instructions are very thorough and even teach you how to make the scalloped edge effortlessly.

I changed her a little by adding a twist lock instead of a magnetic snap. Isn’t she lovely in Jennifer Paganelli’s Pearl Master Floral from the Jenny Eliza line at Joann Fabric and Crafts? Shellie makes a perfect gift for a recent graduate, special birthday, or simply to say thank you to someone special. You absolutely cannot go wrong with Shellie.
